The Risk Register¶
We have examined the purpose for this register. The format is very simple; it has 5 columns
- Risk (what might happen) Give a good description
- Likelihood (scored out of 5 or 10) Assess this
- Impact (scored the same a likelihood) What would the effect be?
- Score (likelihood * impact) a rating that can be used for ranking
- Mitigation. What can be done to reduce the score.

You should able select some items and prepare to include them in your register. It will be up to you to assess the Likelihood and Impact values using your experience.
Lesson discussions will help you understand these factors.
You will also have to describe mitigation for each risk included.
